Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles in popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. From the time he was in university Christopher Meloni was attracted to the world of acting. He went to study acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he's appeared on film and television it is his characters on the small screen that gave him popularity and much fan following. He's been able to effortlessly play roles of characters who are from both sides of law, and captivate the viewers' interest. He played the part of a serial murderer in his debut television show and then went on to portray the character of an NYPD detective. Because of his portrayal on the small screen, he's been up for nomination several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The piercingly blue eyes of his eyes are thought to be his most attractive characteristic. The eyes have been employed to depict rough characters and make them more appealing. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
