Robyn Rihanna Fenty, often called Rihanna by Barbadians, is a singer/songwriter. Her biggest hits include Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. She's a hugely popular performer who has sold over 41 million albums around the world and over 150 million songs. Barbados born, she began listening to reggae music as her age increased and began singing herself when she was in her teens. When she was disturbed by the turbulent nature of her household life, as well as her frequent battles with her father she began to get involved with music. Before long she discovered she was meant to make it as a professional. The group she formed was a musical one when she was still in high school and had the opportunity to take part in an audition for music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly amazed by her talent. The girl moved to New York to start a professional singing career full-time. Her debut album quickly was a huge success and she was called the next big thing in music. The songs that were aplenty of foot tapping were the most popular with teens, which led Rihanna to make films and films. She is a young, skilled woman that has grown into an icon of fashion and teen icon. Rihanna also puts her fame for good and is actively involved with several charity causes.
